Edward Norman Pinney58
- a Private during the Great War, 1914-1918 in Regiment 4288 and in
the 14th Battalion of the Australian Infantry, AIF. Edward was born
in Ballarat, Victoria, AU. His mother was Margaret (Annie) Ann Pinney.
He attended school at Mount Pleasant in Ballarat. He worked as a Printer.
He enlisted in the Army on the 20th of July 1915 at Ballarat, Victoria,
AU. He was Killed In Action on Tuesday the 8th of August 1916 at the
age of 23. He is memorialized on Panel 73 at 26 Villers-Bretonneux,
Somme, France60.
Edward was the brother of Frederick James Pinney a survivor of the war
from the 14th Battalion.

Frederick James Pinney58
- a Private in Regiment 4281 and in the 14th Battalion, enlisted on
the 9th of July 1915 and Returned to Australia on the 5th of April 1919.
He received a General Service Medal and the Kings Medal during the Great
War. He also went on to enlist for World War II only to die of an illness
a short time later. Fredericks parents were Frederick Pinney and Margaret
(Annie) Ann Pinney. His wife was Myrtle Madeline Pinney. He worked as
a storeman. Frederick was the brother of Edward Norman Pinney who died
during the war in France.

George Pinney58
